Messezentrum Salzburg is more than just fairs! Thanks to the variety of room types and sizes and the combination of indoor and outdoor areas, all types of events can be held here. If required, even at the same time.
Fairs & Exhibitions
The organisation of fairs and exhibitions is the heart of Messezentrum Salzburg. The fact that there are ten halls, which differ in structure and size, makes it possible that everything from small and manageable events to large fairs such as the "GAST" can be held.
Classic Expo - Classic Car Fair
On an area of around 40,000 m², high-calibre classic cars are exhibited at the annual fair. In 2019, it celebrated its 15th anniversary and attracted thousands of visitors. Over the years, the popular Classic Expo has grown continuously: while the first fair started with 150 exhibitors, there are now already around 400 exhibitors from all over Europe. Hermann Schwarz (founder Classic Expo): "Over these 15 years, Classic Expo has almost tripled in size. I think that speaks for itself!"
Bauen & Wohnen
The popular fair on the subject of "building a house, renovation & furnishing" also takes place annually at Messezentrum Salzburg. It makes full use of the grounds for four days and is always very well attended. The logistical challenges for exhibitors, organisers and service partners are skilfully mastered through professional cooperation.

Concerts & Shows
A large number of concerts, shows and performances are staged in the salzburgarena every year. Various seating options and types of use allow for maximum flexibility in planning. Here is an excerpt of the artists from the past years.

Conferences & Seminars
The exhibition center Salzburg is also a popular venue for conferences and seminars for many companies. Modern architecture and infrastructure as well as flexible design options provide an appropriate setting.
Ringana European Convention 2019
The combination of salzburgarena and Hall 10 made the high-quality 3-day event with up to 6,000 participants per day possible.

VIEGA Roadshow
More than 1,100 visitors in the Salzburgarena ensured a brilliant start to the Viega roadshow "Experience Viega 360°". Every four years, the system supplier tours Germany and Austria with its new products show directly after the world's leading fair, the ISH, and is able to attract a record numbers of visitors.
Corporate Convention Porsche Holding
Perfect interaction between the automobile group, the agency, the location, the caterer and the service provider made it possible to create a high-quality event that showcased the latest projects.

Outdoor Events
The extensive outdoor areas at the exhibition grounds with 65,665 m² make it possible to hold a variety of outdoor events. Connections for electricity and water are available.
Open-air weekend with the Kelly Family and Wanda
Thanks to perfect coordination and cooperation between the authorities, organisers, artist management and visitors, a successful and well-attended open-air weekend was held in summer 2018.
The Streetfood Market Festival
The combination of Hall 7 with the open-air area facing the Salzach River, allowed for a perfectly equipped event with an engaging mix of outdoor and indoor.
Salzburg Openair in summer 2020
In summer, an open-air stage with a 14x8 meter LED wall, which is also suitable for use during daylight was erected on the exhibition grounds. Over several weeks, the area was used in a variety of ways: Drive-in cinema, DJ clubbing, live broadcast of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup Final and much more. A first-class sound transmission was guaranteed via FM frequency over the car radio.
Sport Events
In recent years, Messezentrum Salzburg and salzburgarena have also hosted many different sports events. Equestrian sports, Darts World Championships, Tennis Davis Cup, Motocross shows - the range is very broad.
Amadeus Horse Indoors
The successful equestrian event takes place annually in the salzburgarena. Events of this magnitude present some logistical challenges behind the scenes. Background key facts about the event: 8 days of construction, 2,000 tons of sand, 16,000 m² of mats, 6 riding arenas, 400 show lights, 800 boxes, 340 horse transporters. Thanks to the professional cooperation and years of experience, this major event is held annually at a high-quality level and is one of our highlights.
Tennis DAVIS CUP 2019
In 2019, the world-famous Tennis DAVIS CUP took place in the salzburgarena. The event was designed for up to 4,500 visitors. A special highlight was the top-class VIP area with separate boxes.
World Series of Final Darts
In September 2020, the salzburgarena was the venue for this major darts event, making it one of the first sporting events to be held in front of an audience since the start of the Corona pandemic. Through perfect coordination with the authorities and professional cooperation with the organiser, all measures and precautions were implemented to make an event with spectators possible. The introduction of a new ticket system, limited number of tickets, separate spectator sectors and other precautions offered maximum protection for the players and spectators.
